HP launches budget Android tablet 7 Plus in US for $100

HP has launched its budget Android tablet, the 7 Plus in US at a remarkably low price of $100 (Rs. 6000 approximately).

Specifications and Features of HP 7 Plus:
Display: 7-inch WVGA (1024 x 600 pixels)
Chipset: ARM Cortex-A7 Quad-core clocked at 1 GHz
Internal Memory: 8 GB
MicroSD Card supported up to 32 GB
Cloud Support: 25 GB free storage on Box valid for lifetime
Rear Camera: 2 Megapixels
Front Camera: VGA
Connectivity Options: Wi-Fi
Battery: 2,800 mAh that can run for 5.5 hours
OS: Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
Sensors: Accelerometer

After Motorola launched its budget smartphone at an unbelievably low price, it seems like companies are gearing up for competing it out in the economy segment by launching their products at sheer ground level prices. However, Motorola's Moto E is now available in India where as HP has not officially confirmed if it would launch the tablet 7 Plus in India or not and if it does, at what price. In any case, going by the hardware specifications of the tablet, the pricing of $100 is not only fairly justified but seems a whole lot lower than it could actually have been.
